How to Create a Primary Partition

Let's have a basic understanding of a primary partition. What is the term for? In a nutshell, a primary partition is the hard disk partition where both Windows OS and user data can reside. On an MBR disk, there can only be four primary partitions or three primary partitions and one extended partition at most, among which only one primary partition can be set as active to boot operating system at a time. What's more, the primary partition is created on an unallocated space (you can get it by resizing a partition with unused space) rather than free space (you can get it by deleting a partition).
