Step 1: Turn on AirDrop on your iPhone X/iPhone 8. (Don't forget to switch on Bluetooth and WiFi at the same time.)

  • On iPhone 8/8 Plus: Swipe up from the bottom of your screen to open Control Center. Press deeply on the module where Airplane Mode locates in, tap on AirDrop and set your iPhone to be discovered by Contacts Only or Everyone.
  • On iPhone X: Swipe down from the top right corner of your iPhone screen to open Control Center. Press deeply on the module where Airplane Mode locates in, tap on AirDrop and set your iPhone to be discovered by Contacts Only or Everyone.

Step 2: Switch on AirDrop on your Mac.

  • Go to Finder > Go > AirDrop on your Mac and then switch on Bluetooth and WiFi to turn on AirDrop on your Mac.
  • Set the option Allow to be discovered by in the AirDrop window as Everyone or Contacts Only.

Step 3: Transfer your iPhone photos to Mac.

  • Go to the Photos App on your iPhone X, iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus.
  • Choose the photos you'd like to transfer to Mac and then click the Share button.
  • Choose your Mac in the AirDrop section to send the selected photos to your Mac.
