Two Ways to Transfer Files to a New iPad

Sync files from iPhone to iPad via iCloud

iCloud is Apple's cloud-based storage that allows you to sync and store files like photos, notes, contacts, reminders across all of your devices. iCloud enables you to sync files between two iOS devices. For iOS 10.2 and earlier users:

1. Tap on Settings App and then choose iCloud on your iPhone.

2. If you haven't sign in with your iCloud account, then enter your Apple ID and continue.

3. Switch the file types you'd like to sync and then repeat the same steps on your iPad.

For iOS 10.3 or later users:

  • Follow Settings > your name > iCloud
  • Switch to enable the file types always sync to your iCloud storage.
  • Repeat the steps on your iPad.

With the steps above, your iPad will sync with your iPhone automatically.
