iTunes can be used to back up iPhone data to the computer, sync contents to new iPhone and restore iPhone from iTunes backup. Transferring contacts from iPhone to Outlook is one aspect to export iPhone data, follow the steps below to make it.

Step 1. Download and install the latest iTunes on your computer and connect your iPhone to your computer with a USB cable. If you found your iPhone or iPhone 8/X not showing up on Windows, check how to fix it online.

Step 2. Open the iTunes and check the iPhone device button on the left side of iTunes.

Step 3. Click the "Info" tab, then check "Sync contacts with" and select "Outlook".

Step 4. You can choose "All Contract" to export the whole contacts to Outlook or check the "Selected groups" to sync certain ones.

Step 5. Click "Apply" to start transferring contacts from iPhone to Outlook with iTunes. When the process has done, run Outlook and open "Contacts" to check the newly synced contents.

Steps to import contacts from PC to Outlook:

Step 1. Go to outlook.com > log in with your Outlook account.

Step 2. Click the small people icon in the toolbar at the bottom > Select "Import Contacts."

Step 3. Choose the contacts you just imported from your iPhone. 

Method 2: Export iPhone Contacts to Outlook via iCloud

To use this method, you need to make sure that you have synced your contacts with iCloud. your contacts must be synced with iCloud. It’s the best way to export contacts in bulk. If you want to export multiple contacts, you can click a single name, place your mouse cursor over the final contact you want to export, meanwhile, press and hold the Shift key, and then click the last contact. Here are detailed steps to export iPhone contacts.

Step 1. Open a browser on your computer > Go to iCloud.com > Log in with your Apple ID > Click "Contacts."
Step 2. Select a contact you want to export > Click the gear icon in the bottom-left corner > Select "Export vCard" in the pop-up menu.
Step 3. Select a location you'd like to save your vCard and give it a name.
Step 4. After making your selection, click "OK" to import your contacts.

Another way to sync iPhone contacts with Outlook is via Settings, which is the most straightforward way to transfer iPhone contacts to Outlook. 

Step 1. Open "Settings" on your iPhone > Tap "Password & Account" > Select "Add Account" > "Outlook.com" > Login with your Outlook account.
Step 2. Enable Contacts or Email, Calendar, and Reminders, and then all contacts will be automatically synced to your Outlook account.

Method 4: Transfer iPhone Contacts to Outlook via Exchange [Group Users]

This method works only if your iPhone or iPad is connected to your internal corporate network. If your company has an Exchange server, then you can use this method.

Step 1. From the Home screen, select "Settings" > Choose "Mail, Contacts, Calendars."
Step 2. If this is the first time you have setup items in this area, select "Exchange." Otherwise, select "Add Account" > "Exchange."
Step 4. Enter your email, username, and password > Click “Next” to move on.
Step 5. Your iPhone will contact the Exchange Server and it requires you to fill in the address of the server in the Server field.
Step 6. After entering all details correctly, you can select the contacts you want to synchronize with your Outlook account > Tap Save to sync iPhone contacts with Outlook.
