How to Sync Photos from Mac to iPhone X/iPhone 8 in 3 Ways

Step 3: Once the Mac and the iPhone is connected. You can send files from Mac to iPhone using AirDrop freely. There are two ways to send files from Mac to your iPhone with AirDrop.

  • Drag the photos you want to send from Mac to iPhone to the image of the recipient and click Send.
  • Or you can click the Share button in an App, choose AirDrop, choose the recipient and then click Done.

Tip 3: Transfer photos from Mac to iPhone X with iTunes

In addition to AirDrop, you can also use iTunes to sync photos from Mac to iPhone 8/iPhone X. To avoid problems like "iPhone not connecting to iTunes", you'd better make sure you have installed the latest version of iTunes on your Mac. If not, go to App Store > Updates > Install to update your iTunes to its latest version.

Step 1: Connect your iPhone X, iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus to your computer with a USB cable and make sure iTunes is running.

Step 2: Click the Device button and choose Photos.
