How to Sync iPhone to iCloud

iCloud is a free online storage service that provided by Apple. iCloud has a 5 GB limitation, usually, it is already enough for iPhone users. iCloud has many functions, iCloud Backup, iCloud Music Library, iCloud Photo Stream and etc. Sync your iPhone to iCloud is the most useful and important thing for users, it would be a waste if you don't know how to use the how to use the iCloud space.

How to sync to iCloud on your iPhone

Step 1. Unlock your iPhone and launch the Settings app.

Step 2. Tap your name to enter your Apple account on iPhone.

Step 3. Find iCloud in the middle and tap it.

Step 4. Choose what you want to sync to iCloud on this iPhone.

Step 5. Slide down and find iCloud Backup, then tap it.

Step 6. Choose to Backup Now, then connect your iPhone with Wi-Fi and lightning cable, you can use this step to manually sync iPhone to iCloud. The time of Backing up depends on how many contents you have, you can delete some data to make iCloud Backup faster.


How to protect data on iCloud

There is one more thing you could do to make your iPhone safer that is to set up an iCloud Keychain. After you have synced iPhone to iCloud, iCloud Keychain will protect your data by asking permission when other devices want to sync to iCloud

Step 1. Go to Settings>[your name]>iCloud

Step 2. Slide down and find iCloud Keychain, then tap it.

Step 3. Enable the iCloud Keychain and tap Advanced.

Step 4. In this screen, you can choose how do you like to approve data sync to the iOS device.


How to manage iCloud storage

iCloud Backup will automatically sync iPhone to iCloud, maybe there are some kinds of data you don't want to sync from iPhone to iCloud. You can use manage your iCloud storage with following steps.

Step 1. Go to Settings>[your name]>iCloud on your iPhone.

Step 2. Tap iCloud which is below the category STORAGE.

Step 3. Tap Manage Storage>[your device].

Step 4. You could choose which kinds of data you want to backup here and delete iCloud Backup if you want.

Step 5. What's more, you could buy more storage at the Manage Storage>Change Storage Plan.
