0 Views 0 min read

Printing contacts from the iPhone is a common demand in groups like teachers, sellers, realtors, etc. These people need to call others often, so printing out their contacts can be helpful if they want to avoid making the same call twice. However, Apple doesn't offer official options to print out contacts. Hence, you'll need some non-official techniques to get the job done. This guide will show you all the possible ways.

Method 1. The Easiest Way to Print Contacts from iPhone

iCloud might be your first option for printing iPhone contacts, but we don't recommend iCloud for these reasons:

  • iCloud only allows you to export one item at once
  • iCloud only supports VCF format, which can not be printed directly
  • iCloud requires a stable internet connection

If you want more output formats or export more contact details, just opt for this iPhone data transfer tool - EaseUS MobiMover. With this versatile iOS data transfer and management tool, you can export iPhone contacts in HTML, CSV, or vCard format. Whatsmore, there is no limitation to the number of contacts you export. That means you can export as many contacts as you want.

On top of that, it allows you to export all contact details, including address, notes, company, birthday, etc.

To export contacts from iPhone:

Step 1. Connect your iPhone to your PC and click "Trust" in the pop-up on your iPhone to trust this computer. Launch EaseUS MobiMover and click "Content Management" > "Contacts".

Select category

Step 2. When you transfer files from your iDevice to your computer, the files will be stored on your desktop by default. If you want to set a custom path or output format, go to "More" > "Settings" and select your desired output format (HTML, CSV, or vCard) and location.

Method 2. How to Export iPhone Contacts via iCloud

iCloud is Apple's recommended way to export iPhone contacts. You can export contacts in VCF format (also called vCard file), a text-based file format that can store information like your contact's name, phone number, and email address.

But note that you can only transfer one contact at once. If you have a lot of contacts to export and print, use EaseUS MobiMover to batch export them to your computer.

To export iPhone contacts via iCloud:

Step 1. Open a new web browser on your computer and go to

Step 2. Sign in to your iCloud account. Choose "Contacts" from the listed options.

Step 3. Then, you'll see all your contacts. Select the contact you wish to export and click on the settings icon at the bottom-left corner of this page.

Step 4. From the pop-up window, select "Export vCard."

Step 5. Then, you'll need to convert that vCard file to CSV format and print it out via a printer.

Method 3. How Print Contacts from iPhone via iTunes

iTunes is another free way to export and print iPhone contacts. All you need is to have the latest version of iTunes installed on the computer and follow these steps.

Note: Make sure you've disabled iCloud sync for contacts. If this button is toggled ON, you can't use iTunes to sync contacts.

Step 1. Connect your iPhone to the computer and launch iTunes.

Step 2. Click on your iPhone icon and select the "Info" tab from the left sidebar.

Step 3. Tick the box next to "Sync Contacts, and then click "Apply."

Step 7. Then, you can select the fields you wish to export. These include contacts' first name, last name, email address, etc. Once you've chosen, click "Finish" to proceed.

Step 8. Connect a printer to your computer and print these contacts out.

The procedure listed above is a little bit complex for some users. Moreover, Apple's support for syncing contacts and calendars has been deprecated and will be removed in a future version of iTunes. So we don't recommend this way.
