Before you use Apple Pay Cash in iMessage in iOS 11, there are some preparations you need to make to ensure a smooth transfer process.

  • Install the latest version of iOS on your iPhone.
  • Use the same Apple ID to sign into iCloud and iMessage on your iPhone.
  • Make sure you have enough money on your Apple Pay Cash card. (Or you have a credit or debit card available in Wallet.)
  • Agree to the Terms and Conditions when you send or receive money via Apple Pay for the first time.

Step 1: Go to Messages App on your iPhone X, iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus in iOS 11.
