How to Fix iPhone X/iPhone 8 Not Receiving/Making Calls in iOS 11

"iPhone won't make or receive calls" occurs in many different situations. Find the tip that works best for you.

Tip 1: Turn off Do Not Disturb While Driving

If your problem is "iPhone won't receive calls while driving", it's probably because you have turned on Do Not Disturb While Driving in Control Center. Thus you need to turn off the feature to avoid "iPhone not receiving calls while driving" issue.

  • On iPhone 8/8 Plus and earlier: Swipe up from the bottom of your iPhone screen to open Control Center. Tap on the Car icon to turn off Do Not Disturb While Driving.
  • On iPhone X: Swipe down from the top right corner of your iPhone screen to open Control Center. Tap on the Car icon to switch off Do Not Disturb While Driving.
