Tip 2: Put your iPhone in Recovery Mode

For iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in iOS 11:

Step 1: Connect your iPhone 7/7 Plus to your computer and launch iTunes.

Step 2: Reboot your iPhone 7/7 Plus. (Press and hold both Sleep/Wake and Volume Down bottom until you see the “connect to iTunes” screen. Don't release the buttons when you see the Apple logo.)

Step 3: When a window appears in iTunes asking you to Restore or Update your iPhone, choose Update to re-install iTunes on your iPhone without erasing data.
