AirPrint is a built-in feature on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch that helps to print photos and documents from your iOS device over Wi-Fi network connection directly. Simply speaking, you can print your iPhone photos and documents wirelessly if you have an AirPrint-enabled printer ready for use. However, it seems that AirPrint can't always work properly on iPhone or iPad according to iOS 11 users. Part 1: How to print on iOS 11 without AirPrint

When you want to print the photos (Tip 1) or documents (Tip 2) on your iPhone/iPad, using AirPrint is not the only way to make it. You can surely sync your iPhone/iPad photos to iCloud and then download iCloud photos to your PC or Mac to transfer your iPhone photos to PC. Step 1. Connect your iOS device to your computer with a USB cable. Launch EaseUS MobiMover, then choose "Phone to PC" on the left side panel and click the "Next" button to continue.

  • Click Print in the window to start to print photos from your iPhone.

Tip 2: How to print documents on iOS 11 without AirPrint

With iCloud Drive, you can sync your iPhone files to computer easily and quickly by turning on iCloud Drive on your device(s).

Step 1: On your iPhone/iPad in iOS 11, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud and scroll down to toggle on iCloud Drive.

Step 2: Download documents in iCloud Drive to the computer. (Windows PC is set as an example here.)

If you have installed iCloud on your PC:

  • Open iCloud and click the checkbox next to iCloud Drive.
  • Go to This PC > iCloud Drive and you will see all your iPhone documents in the folder. (You may wait for a while for the files to be synced if the folder is empty. While if iCloud Drive is not syncing, learn how to fix it with the solutions provided.)
  • Open the document you want to print with the corresponding software and then print the document.

If you haven't install iCloud on your PC:

  • Open a browser on your PC and visit iCloud.com.
  • Enter your Apple ID to sign in and then choose iCloud Drive.
  • Choose the document you'd like to print and click the Download button in the top middle of the screen.
  • Open the file you have just downloaded and then print it from your computer.

Part 2: Fixes to iOS 11 AirPrint Not Working

While if you still want to use AirPrint to print your iPhone files, you can try the tips below to fix the "iOS 11 AirPrint not working" issue on your iPhone/iPad.

Tip 1: Make sure you have an AirPrint-supported printer

AirPrint only connects to printers that are AirPrint-enabled. You can go to https://support.apple.com/en-hk/HT201311 to check whether the printer you are using is on the list.

Tip 2: Check the Wi-Fi connection

If you find AirPrint not working in iOS 11 on your iPhone and iPad, check whether your iOS device and the printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network connection, which is necessary for AirPrint to work properly. Don't forget the check the network connection on your iPhone/iPad in iOS 11. If Wi-Fi is not working on your iOS device, you will fail to print, too. By the way, resetting network connection on your device is an effective solution you can try. (Go to Settings > General > Reset and choose Reset Network Settings.)
