Step 1: Go to edit the text in which you want to add an emoji.

Step 2: When you want to insert and emoji, tap on Control key, Command key and Space bar at the same time to open the Characters palette.

Step 3: Click "Emoji" in the sidebar to show all the emojis. Select the category that the emoji you'd like to insert belongs to.

Step 4: Click the emoji to add it to your text.

If you are using a Windows computer and want to type emojis on your PC, here is the way. (Windows 10 is set as an example in this article.)

Step 1: Right-click the Taskbar and click "Show touch keyboard button".

Step 2: Click the "Touch Keyboard" on the right side of the Taskbar.

Step 3: Click the smiling face on the keyboard and you will see the emojis on your PC. (If you don't see the smiling face on the keyboard, you need to switch to another keyboard by clicking the Keyboard icon.)
