How to turn on Night Shift Mode on iPhone X/iPhone 8 in iOS 11

Tip 1: Enable Night Shift Mode on iPhone in Control Center

The Control Center on your iPhone enables you to use your device more conveniently. For example, you can turn on AirDrop to send files from one iOS device to another or switch on the flashlight on your device when it's necessary from Control Center with simple steps. It's no exception when it comes to activating Night Shift on your iPhone. Follow the steps below to learn how to make it.

  • On iPhone X: Swipe down from the top right corner of your iPhone screen to open Control Center, press deeply on the Brightness control icon (a sun icon) and then tap on the Night Shift icon to turn it on or off. (By default, Night Shift works from sunset to sunrise).
  • On iPhone 8/8 Plus or earlier: Swipe up from the bottom of your iPhone screen to open Control Center, press firmly on the Brightness control icon (a sun icon) and then click the Night Shift icon to enable or disable Night Shift.

Tip 2: Turn on Night Shift in iOS 11 in Settings App

Step 1: Open Settings App on your iPhone X/iPhone 8 in iOS 11.
