To clear up your iCloud space, you can either free up iCloud storage on your iPhone X or iPhone 8 directly or manage your iCloud storage from the computer. Here are the ways to make it. Tip 1: How to free up iCloud storage on iPhone

Step 1: Open Settings on your iPhone in iOS 11.

Step 2: Tap on [your name] and go to iCloud > Manage Storage.

Step 3: Choose the category you'd like to delete and remove the data from your iCloud storage. For example:

  • To remove iPhone backup to free up storage on iCloud: Click Backup, select the backup you'd like to delete, tap Delete Backup and then choose Turn Off & Delete to confirm your deletion.

If you have installed iCloud on your computer:

Step 1: Open iCloud App on your PC.

Step 2: Choose Storage in the window to manage your iCloud storage.

Step 3: Choose the category you'd like to delete and then remove the files from your iCloud. For example:

  • To remove iPhone backup: Click Backup in the list on the left side, select the backup and click Delete to remove it from your iCloud storage.
  • To delete photos stored in iCloud: Directly uncheck the Photos option in iCloud.
  • To erase Numbers: Click Numbers and choose Delete Documents and Data.

If you haven't install iCloud on your PC:

Step 1: Open a browser on your computer.

Step 2: Visit iCloud.com and enter your Apple ID.

Step 3: Choose the category you want to delete and remove the items from your iCloud. For example:

  • To delete calendars: Click Calenders among the options, click Edit on the page and then tap on the minus button next to the calendars you'd like to get rid of.
  • To remove files in iCloud Drive: Click iCloud Drive, select the documents and click the Trash icon to delete the files.
  • To delete photos: Click Photos, select the photos you want to remove and then click the Trash icon.
