How to fix Siri Not Working on iPhone

Tip 1: Check whether Siri is on. If you fail to awake Siri, you might just forget to turn Siri on. Go to "Settings", tap on "Siri" and see whether Siri is turned on. If you want to activate Siri by saying "Hey, Siri", you need to switch on "Allow 'Hey SIri'" under "Siri" option.

Tip 2: Check your microphone. If your Siri is activated and can't hear you, it might be something wrong with your microphone. You can use earphones with integrated microphone to have a try. If Siri does response with other microphones, you need to fix you microphone on iPhone by carefully cleaning the aperture or contacting Apple Support if the problem is much more serious.

Tip 3: Check your network connection. Siri works under Wi-Fi or cellular network connection.

Tip 4: Re-open Siri on your iPhone. Go to "Settings" and choose "Siri". Switch "Siri" off and toggle it on a few seconds later.

Tip 5: Re-enable Dictation.

1. Go to "Settings" and tap on "General".
2. Choose "Keyboards" and toggle off "Enable Dictation".
3. Choose "Turn Off Dictation" to confirm.
4. Turn on "Enable Dictation" again and confirm.

Tip 6: Force restart your iPhone.

For iPhone 7 users: Press and hold Sleep/Wake button and Volume Down button until the Apple logo appears.

For iPhone 6s and earlier users: Press and hold Sleep/Wake button and Home button until Apple logo appears.

Tip 7: Reset Network Settings.

If you reset network settings, all the saved Wi-Fi networks will be erased, so be sure you remember the passwords.

1. Open "Settings" App and go to "General".
2. Choose "Reset" and choose "Reset Network Settings".
3. Type in your password when being asked and tap on "Reset Network Settings" to confirm.
