Fix 1: Check your Network connection

No matter you are using a cellular network or Wi-Fi network, you have to make sure that it works.

Fix 2: Activate the phone number with FaceTime

This tip is suitable for you if you are an iPhone user. You need to activate your phone number with FaceTime using SMS messaging.

Fix 3: Set date, time and time zone correctly

You can set Date & Time using the following steps.

Step 1: Go to "Settings" and choose "General".

Step 2: Choose "Date & Time" to set the date, time and time zone correctly.

Fix 4: Restart FaceTime to fix Waiting for Activation

Step 1: Open "Settings", tap on "FaceTime" and then turn off "FaceTime".

Step 2: Restart your iPhone. (Press and hold Sleep /Wake button until you see a slider, drag the slider to turn your device off, and then press and hold Sleep/Wake button to turn it on.)
