Tip 1: Fix "iPhone/iPad won't turn on" by charging your device

Believe it or not, sometimes "iPhone or iPad not turning on" is simply because your iPhone/iPad has run out of battery completely. And the battery left is not enough for your device to turn on. Then what you should do is to charge up your device for a while. The charging time depends on how much battery left on your iPhone/iPad. So wait patiently. Meanwhile, you need to make sure the connection between the USB cable and your device, also between the USB cable and the power adapter.

Tip 2: Fix "iPhone/iPad won't turn on" by force restarting your device

If your iPhone/iPad screen is black, frozen or not responding and you're sure the battery isn't dead, what your can try now is to force restart your iPhone or iPad.

For iPhone 7/7 Plus users: Press and hold both Sleep/Wake and Volume Down buttons for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

For iPhone 6/6s and earlier, iPad users: Press and hold both the Home button and Sleep/Wake button for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Tip 3: Fix "iPhone/iPad won't turn on" by restoring iOS with iTunes

A more complex situation is that the software on your device is damaged or corrupted, which causes your device to be stuck on Apple logo. What you should do to cope with this problem is to restore your iPhone or iPad with iTunes.

Step 1: Connect your iPhone/iPad to your computer and launch iTunes.
Step 2: After your device is connected. Force restart your iPhone/iPad (See Tip 1) until your iPhone/iPad is in recovery mode, which is indicated by the iTunes icon and a cable shown on the screen.

Step 3: Then a window asking you to restore or update your device will appear in iTunes. If you select "Update", iTunes will attempt to restore your iOS without removing your data. If you choose "Restore", on the contrary, your data will be erased, but you can recover the data with iCloud backup.
