Part 1: How to download iCloud photos to Mac selectively

As you may know, you can download photos from iCloud to your Mac in iCloud.com. The problem with this method is that it's not convenient if you want to download multiple photos for there is no Select All option in iCloud Photos. While if you just want to get several pictures from iCloud to your Mac, this tip could be quite effective.

Step 1. Go to visit iCloud.com from your Mac.

Step 3. Choose Photos among the options and then you will see the photos on your iPhone.

Step 4: Select the photos you'd like to download from iCloud to your Mac and then click the Download Selected items icon at the top right corner of your screen.

Part 2: How to download all photos from iCloud to Mac

As mentioned above, you can't download all photos from iCloud to your Mac at once in iCloud.com. But don't worry, the Photos App on your Mac can help you download all photos from iCloud to your Mac effortlessly. Here are the steps to Mac it.

Step 1. Open Photos App on your Mac.

Step 2. Click Photos from the menubar and choose Preferences... from the drop-down menu.

Step 3. Tap on iCloud and make sure iCloud Photo Library and Download Originals to this Mac are selected.

Step 4. Close the Preferences window and choose the Photos tab.

Step 5. Tap on Command + A to select all the photos. (You can also choose photos selectively by clicking the pictures while holding the Command key.)

Step 6. After selecting the photos, go to File > Export from the menubar and choose to Export Selected items... or Export Unmodified Original For Selected items... according to your needs.

Step 7. Click Export to start to download iCloud photos to your Mac.
