Before you apply the troubleshooting methods to your iPhone to fix the "Control Center not working" issue in iOS 11, you'd better check whether you have open Control Center properly on your iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus or iPhone X.

  • On iPhone 8/8 Plus: Swipe up from the bottom of your iPhone screen to open Control Center.
  • On iPhone X: Swipe down from the top right corner of your iPhone screen to open Control Center.

Tip 1: Enable Control Center on Lock Screen

If you reported the issue "Control Center not working on lock screen" in iOS 11, you need to check whether you have enabled Control Center on lock screen on your iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus or iPhone X. If it's off, that's where the problem is.

Step 1: Go to Settings App on your iPhone in iOS 11.

Step 2: Tap on Touch ID & Passcode and enter your passcode.

Step 3: Under Allow Access When Locked, toggle on Control Center.

Tip 2: Enable Access within Apps

How to force restart iPhone in iOS 11:

Method 1: For iPhone 7/7 Plus, hold and press both Sleep/Wake button (Side button) and Volume Down button until the Apple logo appears.

Method 2: For iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, quickly press and release the Volume Up button, quickly press and release the Volume Down button and then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button (Side button) until you see the Apple logo.
