Tip 1: Wait a day or two to avoid the onslaught so that iPhone/iPad/iPod will successfully update to iOS 11/11.1. Or you can also try upgrading your iOS device to iOS 11/11.1 at night.

Tip 2: Skip over-the-air update and update your iOS device via iTunes: Connect your iPhone/iPad/iPod to your computer > Open iTunes, if it does not open automatically > Then tap Update.

Tip 3: Restart your WLAN router and iOS device: Disconnect the router from the power source > Wait for a moment > Reconnect the router to the power source.

Tip 4: Reset your device's network settings: Touch "Settings" on your iPhone/iPad/iPod > Click "General" > scroll down, press "Reset" > then select "Network Settings".

Tip 5: Upgrade with IPSW File

  • 1. Download the correct IPSW file.
  • 2. Open iTunes, and connect your iPhone to the computer.
  • 3. In the Summary, you should see the "Restore iPhone…" button.
  • 4. Hold down the Shift key and click on Restore iPhone….
  • 5. Select the downloaded IPSW file.
  • 6. The iTunes restore will install iOS 11.2 on your iDevice.
  • 7. Then, restore from the backup you just created to get all data back.
