Fixes to 3D Touch Not Working on iPhone X/iPhone 8/iPhone 7 in iOS 11

Tip 1: Restart your iPhone X/8/7

When you encounter the "3D Touch not working on iPhone X/8/8 in iOS 11" issue, the simplest tip you should try first is to restart your iPhone. There are two ways to make it.

Method 1: On iPhone 8/8 Plus/7, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until a slider appears, drag the slider to turn off your iPhone completely and then hold and press the same button to turn your device on. While if you are using an iPhone X, learn how to turn off iPhone X here.

Method 2: Go to Settings > General > Shut Down and move the slider to turn off your iPhone/iPad completely. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button to turn on your iPhone X/8/7.

Tip 2: Make sure 3D Touch is on

To use 3D Touch on your iPhone, don't forget to turn it on first. Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > 3D Touch and then switch on 3D Touch. If you are sure you have turned on 3D Touch, you can also go to 3D Touch under Settings to check the 3D Touch sensitivity (Light, Medium or Firm) and see whether the pressure level is suitable for you. Sometimes, the "3D Touch not working on iPhone" is concluded just because you didn't press your iPhone screen with the proper pressure level.

Tip 3: Update Apps on your iPhone X/8/7

While if you find 3D Touch not working on your iPhone in a specific App, it's probably due to the incompatibility between the App and your iOS operating system. Tip 4: Update your iOS to the latest version

Similarly, if 3D Touch not working on your iPhone X, iPhone 8 or iPhone 7 in iOS 11 is caused by the incompatibility between your current iOS version and the App, you should go to Settings > General > Software Update on your iPhone to check for new updates and download and install the latest version of iOS on your device if there is any new update available.

Tip 5: Force restart your iPhone X/8/7

Method 1: For iPhone 7/7 Plus, hold and press both Sleep/Wake button and Volume Down button until the Apple logo appears.
