What’s the differential backup - is a backup of every file on a file system which has changed since the last full backup. Comparing to full backup, incremental backup takes less backup time and produces smaller image file. Though incremental backup also save the backup time, but it prolongs the recovery process. So compared with incremental backup, differential backup save time and is safer backup.
EaseUS Todo Backup, the differential backup software, can provide three backup methods: full backup, incremental backup and differential backup to fully protect your data. In the article, we will show you how to do differential file backup and differential disk/partition backup step by step.
Before we do differential backup, make sure that we have done a full backup or set a backup schedule in advance.
Launch EaseUS Todo Backup, the mainly window will list our backup history, we could mange our backup schedule here. Select one backup schedule, click Backup, it will drop down three backup type: full, incremental, differential backup. Choose Differential backup to perform backup.
Run the EaseUS Todo Backup, the mainly window will list our backup history, select the Exchange image file in the list and click Backup, click Differential Backup form the drop-down menu.
