How to solve "hang up" problem during the scan of Data Recovery Wizard?

Introduction

Sometimes the program hangs up during the scan and cannot finish the process. You wait for a long period of time but the software is still stuck at "Building RAW file tree". We will guide you to solve the problem.

Solution

If the program hangs up during the 'Intelligent Searching' like the screenshot below, please check in the 'Task Manager' (press Ctrl +Alt+Delete at the same time) whether there is an Image named 'DRW0.exe' in the' Processes'. If the 'Memory' is changing, that means that our product is running normally, so please just wait.

Tips: Please close other applications including antivirus and firewall. This will speed up the searching.

However, if you find even the 'Memory' is changing but the numbers on the window and progress bar doesn't change any more, there may be some bad sectors on the device. Then please close the program manually and use the method below to rescan it.

1. Run Data Recovery Wizard and select the same recovery module you used before. Then you will enter file types selection window.

2. Tick 'Ignore bad sectors' check box, click 'Next' to enter the device list.

3. Select the partition or device to start the rescan.

If you stuck at 'Building RAW file tree', please cancel the progress and go back to the partition list.

Click 'Option' above and switch to 'RAW' page, uncheck 'Recover RAW file', and click 'OK' to submit the change. Then click 'Next' to enter the found files list.
