Under Microsoft Windows, you can use the "format" command to format a drive, just like in DOS.
Alternatively, you can format a drive through the GUI by following these steps:
- Click the <Start> button.
- Click <My Computer>.
- Highlight the drive you wish to format.
- Click the right mouse button to bring up a menu.
- Select <Format>.
