Q: why I couldn't find any data after I full formatted (doesn't tick the "Perform a quick format" option) the volume in Windows Vista?

A: Windows Vista and Windows 7 will erase all the data, if you selected full format to format the volume.

The reason why the data lost and can never been recovered is due to the enhanced security features of Windows Vista and Windows 7 under a full format. It writes 0's to every sector of the disk and the data is completely erased. In this way, files couldn't be found and restored by any data recovery software including EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard.
