About the partition status

The partition status means the partition is whether primary or logical, whether active or inactive. If you are going to copy the source partition to a partition, Disk Copy will keep the status of the old destination partition. If you are going to copy the source partition to an unallocated space, Disk Copy will try to keep the status of the source partition.

Note: Since the number of primary partition on a disk is limited to four, and the number active partition on a disk is limited to one. Sometimes Disk Copy can not create the destination partition using the status of the source partition. However, Disk Copy allows you to convert the status of the destination partition to make copy operation successful.
