If your device is in a FAT format, to change the FAT options may yield better quality data than that by using the default settings.
There are several FAT-specific options:
Usage of FAT copies
You may have to try to use the first FAT copy ("FAT1") or second FAT copy ("FAT2"), or maybe even there is no FAT to get the best quality of data (depending on the nature of the damage to the disk and fragmentation of the files prior to the loss).
Usage of Root Cluster Number
The root cluster is the first cluster that contains directory data.
It is recommended to use root cluster number to assist recovery FAT32 partition. But if you are not satisfied with scanned root directory, try once more to turn off this option.
