The Device List use information provided by your partition's BIOS Parameter Block (BPB) to identify the file system. If the BPB information is faulty or unavailable, the tool may report the file system type by mistake. Before scanning files from the partition, you can select a proper file system from the result of scan file system.
This tab also allows you to customize the search for partition. You can click "Scan" to scan all possible file systems on the partition.
On this step, Data Recovery Wizard begins to perform a thorough scan of the partition. Depending on the size of the disk, this could take quite a time. Above the progress bar, you can see the estimated time remaining in the scan.
After the scan file system is completed, a list of all found file systems will be displayed.
For each one listed here, Data Recovery Wizard displays a number of statistics, including the partition's type of file system, a suggested percentage by its data quality, its cluster size in Sectors and the Score of amount of matching files/folders.
In most cases Data Recovery Wizard can automatically define most probable file systems calculated on information Data Recovery Wizard collected from partition during the scan. You should try this default option at first.
If, however, you are not satisfied with recovered data from this selected by default file system, you can try other file systems too.
