How to Delete OS Partition But Keep the Other Partition

I want to delete my OS partition but keep the other partition on Windows. However, when I use Disk Management to delete my OS partition, no delete option is available. Are there any tools that can help delete the OS partition? Any suggestion is welcomed; Thank you.

First, I'm glad you partitioned your hard drive and separated your data and OS, making the deletion safer and easier. Disk Management and other built-in tools don't allow users to delete a partition containing the OS, which is the reason why you can't delete the OS partition in Disk Management. To delete the OS partition and keep the other partitions safe, you need to turn to a reliable third-party software, EaseUS Partition Master.

As a professional disk manager, EaseUS Partition Master allows you to edit your OS partition by extending, shrinking, formatting, and deleting.

Here is how to:

Step 1. Launch EaseUS Partition Master on your Windows PC.

Step 2. Locate your OS partition in the "Partition Manager" section. Right-click it and choose "Delete."

Step 3. Click "Yes" when you see a warning to finish this process.

In this way, you can remove your OS partition from your disk. All the data on the OS partition will be deleted. However, if you want to keep the OS, you need to clone the OS partition to another disk before you choose to delete it. To clone your OS partition as a backup, you can also ask EaseUS Partition Master for help. It can help transfer your OS partition to another disk while keeping all the data intact. Well, hope my answer can help you delete the OS partition safely.
